Seth Halvorsen Notches First Save Of The Year
2 days agoColorado Rockies reliever Seth Halvorsen struck out one over 1 1/3 innings to earn the save in Saturday's 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Halvorsen entered the eighth inning to protect a one-run lead. With two outs and runners on first and second base, Halvorsen got Yandy Diaz to ground out to end the inning. The 25-year-old made quick work of the Rays in the ninth to notch his first save of the season. He converted both save opportunities while posting a 1.46 ERA, 0.81 WHIP, and a 13:2 K:BB across 12 1/3 innings in 2024. Halvorsen finished strong last season and earned more save opportunities with his performance in Saturday's win. Fantasy managers searching for saves should look to add Halvorsen off the waiver wire, as he's rostered in just 3% of Yahoo Fantasy leagues.
