Seth Brown Tests Positive For COVID-19
3 years agoOakland Athletics first baseman/outfielder Seth Brown tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. He was placed on the COVID-related injured list and will be sidelined a minimum of 10 days. The Athletics recalled pitcher Daulton Jefferies to fill Brown's roster spot. Outfielders Tony Kemp and Chad Pinder should see an increase in playing time while Brown is sidelined. The 29-year-old Brown has been a nice surprise for the Athletics this year. He had only appeared in 33 MLB games prior to the 2021 season. Over 94 games this year, he's slashed .203/.270/.457 with 16 home runs, four stolen bases, 39 RBI and 34 runs.
