Seth Brown Sitting On Tuesday
1 year agoOakland Athletics first baseman/outfielder Seth Brown is absent from Tuesday's lineup for the matchup against left-hander Angel Zerpa and the Kansas City Royals. The slugger has struggled this season to a .219/.285/.406 slash line with 11 bombs, 23 runs, 42 RBI, and a pair of steals over 79 games. Brown's even worse against lefties and owns just a .285 OPS off of southpaws this year, so it makes sense to give him the day off. Instead, Aledmys Diaz will take his spot in the outfield and bat fifth. The 33-year-old hasn't done much with the bat, as he's hitting .226 with just four homers across 87 games and is irrelevant in all fantasy formats.
