6 years agoTampa Bay Rays closer Sergio Romo remained with the team through the trade deadline. Romo would strike out two of the three batters he faced in closing out the 4-2 victory. The save would be his 13th of the season and he also opened five games this season. Romo will continue to be worth owning in most leagues that reward saves as long as he retains his closing job. The biggest threat to his position will be if the Rays turn their attention to the future. If they choose to get a look at their future, young arms like Jose Alvarado could take over the job.--Jamie Mellor
