6 years agoTampa Bay Rays closer Sergio Romo came in for the third straight game in a save situation Tuesday versus the Astros. This time, he recorded two outs to close out a 2-1 victory. Romo now has four saves on the season, and having been used in three straight save situations over the last three days suggests he is now the closer for the team. Romo had been serving multiple roles this season, including starting several times. This split role made it tough for fantasy owners to use Romo. When he opened, he could not provide either a win or a save, and he would often be facing the best part of a team's lineup. Now that he seems to be the closer, his value goes up tremendously.--Jamie Mellor
