Sergio Romo Earns 25th Save
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays relief pitcher Sergio Romo earned the save Saturday versus the Blue Jays. The Rays would enter the ninth inning with a 4-2 lead when they brought in Romo. He would surrender a solo HR but otherwise held them down for an inning to finish the game. Romo would earn the save which would be his 25th save of the season. He would also blow eight attempts. Romo has not been a shutdown option but 25 saves is still useful in many leagues. However, he needs to find a closer job for 2019 to be much of an option.
