Sergio Romo Earns 15th Save Saturday
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays closer Sergio Romo closed out another victory for the Rays over the Blue Jays Saturday. He would enter with a two-run lead in the ninth inning and retired all three batters he faced. Romo would earn his 15th save of the season. He has even opened five games this season. Romo will continue to be worth owning in most leagues that reward saves as long as he retains his closing job. The biggest threat to his position will be if the Rays turn their attention to the future. If they choose to get a look at their future, young arms like Jose Alvarado could take over the job.
