2 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays designated relief pitcher Sergio Romo for assignment on Saturday after they acquired left-hander Foster Griffin from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for right-hander Jonatan Bernal. The Blue Jays also recalled right-hander Jeremy Beasley from Triple-A Buffalo. After being signed in late June, Romo appeared in six games for the Blue Jays and allowed two earned runs on a home run while walking two and striking out three in 3 2/3 innings of work. In total this year, he has a 7.50 ERA and 1.39 WHIP in 18 innings with the Jays and Seattle Mariners. Even if the 39-year-old reliever lands with his third team in 2022, he'll be well off the fantasy radar.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
