Seranthony Dominguez Locks Up 11th Save
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies closer Seranthony Dominguez entered Wednesday night’s game in the eighth inning after reliever Pat Neshek ran into trouble. With the Phillies holding a three-run lead, the rookie closer managed to escape the eighth. Later, he would retire the side in order in the ninth for his 11th save of the season. This was a much-needed performance for the 23-year-old after having blown each of his last two save opportunities. Dominguez has also displayed a promising level of comfortability against the best team in baseball, now having made three appearances against the Boston Red Sox and having not allowed a single hit.
