Seranthony Dominguez Escapes Jam For Save
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies closer Seranthony Dominguez appeared for the second time in a row against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park Tuesday night. While his appearance on Monday came in a non-save situation, Tuesday’s came in the ninth inning with his club up by two runs. Things got off to a rocky start, as he walked a batter and hit the next, but he managed to retire the next three to record the save. While Dominguez was successful on the day, a slight issue with his control could be worrying. In his first 29 outings, the 23-year-old never walked batters in consecutive appearances. Following his save against the Red Sox, he’s now recorded seven walks in his last four games.
