Seranthony Dominguez Earns Two-Inning Save
6 years agoAfter Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Zach Eflin’s masterful performance against the New York Yankees on Wednesday night, manager Gabe Kapler wasted no time in going to his best reliever. Seeking to avoid a sweep, the skipper called for relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez to close out the game with a two-inning appearance. The 23-year-old, who took a loss against the Nationals his last time out, was much better this time around, striking out three in his perfect performance. He was rewarded with a save, his fifth of the season. Dominguez now has 34 strikeouts in 25 2/3 innings of work and is the best fantasy option for saves in this bullpen as of now.
