Seranthony Dominguez Blows Save Against Diamondbacks
6 years agoAfter the Philadelphia Phillies managed to score two runs, backing up Jake Arrieta’s masterful start, the club turned to closer Seranthony Dominguez to finish off a victory in Arizona against the Diamondbacks. The rookie’s outing was disastrous almost from the start, as he allowed a home run to the second batter he faced. Allowing a double and then a single, the lead evaporated almost instantly. Manager Gabe Kapler immediately removed Dominguez after the save was blown, his second consecutive blown save and third of the season. Considering how quickly Kapler moves in terms of closers, Dominguez might have put his ninth-inning role in harm.
