Semyon Varlamov Goes For Fifth Straight Victory
4 years agoNew York Islanders goaltender Semyon Varlamov will look for a fifth straight win in Tuesday's meeting with Washington. The Russian veteran has been superb throughout the campaign, putting together a 13-4-3 record with a 2.03 goals-against average, a .929 save percentage, and three shutouts. Tuesday's matchup is not the most comfortable one for Varlamov, as the Capitals are on a five-game winning streak, but the Islanders have been crushing it as well lately, and they had the night off on Monday while Washington faced Buffalo, which should give New York an edge here.
