4 years agoNew York Islanders goaltender Semyon Varlamov turned aside 20 of 21 shots against to record his seventh win of the campaign as his team defeated the Buffalo Sabres by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The 32-year-old's victory was his fourth win over his past five starts. Through 11 appearances in this season, Varlamov has posted a 1.89 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage, making him one of the game's top netminders thus far. Playing behind an extremely sound defensive team in the Islanders, the Russian netminder should be a staple in fantasy lineups each night he gets the nod.
