Seiya Suzuki Taking In-Game At-Bats
2 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki (oblique) had two at-bats in a simulated game and played four innings of defense on Monday and was scheduled to take two at-bats as the designated hitter in a game in Arizona on Tuesday, per the team. The 28-year-old is recovering from a "moderate" left oblique strain, but has been participating in normal baseball activities since the end of March. Barring any setbacks, he could join the Cubs and fantasy managers' lineups sometime in April. He will be a welcomed addition, as he slashed .262/.336/.433 with 14 home runs, 46 RBI, and nine stolen bases in 446 plate appearances in 2022.
