Seiya Suzuki Takes BP, Runs Bases Wednesday
2 years agoChicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki (oblique) is making progress as he works his way back from an oblique injury suffered in February. Suzuki was originally thought to be out through the end of the month of April with the injury but he now has a chance to return to the field sooner. Suzuki has ramped up baseball activities of late as he took batting practice and ran the bases on Wednesday. While he is unlikely to be ready for Opening Day, Suzuki could be in the fold early in the season. Suzuki hit .262 with 14 homers, 54 runs, and 46 RBI in 111 games for the Cubs in 2022.
