Seiya Suzuki Could Return On Saturday
Seiya Suzuki (ankle) was held out of the starting lineup during Friday's game against the Cincinnati Reds. Suzuki injured his ankle on Tuesday and has been sidelined since then. However, his ankle reportedly is doing better on Friday and he could be available on Saturday. The Cubs have already been eliminated from postseason contention, so there is no incentive to play Suzuki at anything less than 100 percent healthy. Kevin Alcantara figures to see a handful of starts over the next few days in right field. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Cubs limit Suzuki to designated hitter duties until the end of the season.

Seiya Suzuki Puts On Power Display In Win Over Pirates
Seiya Suzuki flexed his muscles in Thursday's 8-3 win over the hosting Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park to help spoil right-hander Paul Skenes' day. Serving as the designated hitter and batting out of the three-hole, Suzuki went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and a walk to improve his season average to .295 and his OPS to .995. He took Skenes deep in the fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie as part of a three-homer inning for the Cubbies. The 30-year-old's second dinger was a two-run shot in the fifth inning to give him his second two-homer game of his career. Suzuki has been hot when healthy and now has three home runs in his last three games. He is now slashing a robust .295/.365/.625 with nine home runs and 28 RBI through his first 28 contests. Suzuki is obviously a must-start in all fantasy leagues.

Seiya Suzuki Stays Hot, Boosts Cubs Offense With Two-Run Home Run
Seiya Suzuki powered the team to a commanding 9-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday night. Seiya Suzuki Drives In Three Runs
Seiya Suzuki put together a nice day at the plate during Saturday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. He started off with a two-RBI single in the fifth inning. After that, Suzuki drove in another run with another single in the seventh inning. The 30-year-old went 2-for-4 with three RBI as he seemed to be the only source of offense considering the Cubs scored four total runs. Suzuki has registered six hits over his last three games. He's slashing .292/.361/.552 with six home runs and 23 RBI this season. Suzuki has proven to be a reliable option in the middle of the Cubs lineup.

Seiya Suzuki Returns For Series Opener Against Phillies
Seiya Suzuki (wrist) is back in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against the Philadelphia Phillies at Wrigley Field. Suzuki will serve as the designated hitter and bat third against Phillies right-hander Taijuan Walker. A wrist injury has bothered Suzuki of late, causing him to be scratched from Wednesday's game. But the 30-year-old is back in action to kick off the weekend series against the Phillies, and he should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups. The Japanese outfielder has three hits in six career at-bats against Walker with two RBI. He's also hitting a nice .276 (24-for-87) on the year with six home runs, 20 RBI, a steal and 14 runs scored. Suzuki has cooled off at the plate a bit of late, going 5-for-24 in his last six games, but he should still be returned to starting lineup in a solid matchup.
