Sebastian Walcott Starting To Heat Up At High-A
4 months agoTexas Rangers shortstop prospect Sebastian Walcott is beginning to heat up at High-A after struggling through the first two months of the campaign. Across April and May, the 18-year-old posted a poor .196/.326/.315 line with just three home runs, 10 RBI, six stolen bases, and a 28:47 BB:K ratio. However, since June 1, the right-handed bat holds a much-improved .285/.343/.504 line with four home runs, 17 RBI, five stolen bases, and an 11:39 BB:K ratio. The number 72 ranked prospect on MLB.com is a name to keep a close eye on, as he could earn a promotion to Double-A later in the coming weeks if he can stay hot in the batter's box.
