Carolina Hurricanes forwards Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen did everything they wanted on Sunday against the Bruins, finishing a 5-3 win with four points. Both had two goals and two assists. The Canes found themselves 2-0 down early in the game, but the Flying Finns helped them turn it around. Both even registered a short-handed goal. It's the second four-point performance in the last five games for Aho, who's the team's leading scorer with 38 points. He also leads Carolina in goals with 14. Teravainen has eight goals and 29 points. The Canes face Washington next after the Christmas break. Aho and Teravainen combined seven points against them in the last meeting on Dec. 14.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Chicago Blackhawks winger Teuvo Teravainen collected three points as the team defeated the Islanders 5-3 on home ice on Sunday. He kicked things off with a couple of even-strength assists in the first period and potted a power-play goal in the second. Teravainen recorded as many points as he had across his previous 10 outings. Chicago's offense has been horrible for most of the year, and Teravainen has been limited to 16 points (seven goals, nine assists) in 31 games. A lot more is expected from the Finnish forward, who averaged close to 0.70 points only a season ago.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Chicago Blackhawks wingers Tyler Bertuzzi and Teuvo Teravainen are expected to fill first-line roles when the new NHL season begins. The two were big free-agency signings for the Blackhawks and will be relied on heavily in 2024-25. If they can stick on the line, both players will benefit from the presence of Connor Bedard. Having more talent around him should also improve the productivity of Chicago's 19-year-old phenom, who skated with a lot of different teammates during his rookie campaign and struggled offensively at times.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Carolina Hurricanes winger Teuvo Teravainen notched a pair of assists in a 4-3 victory in Game 4 of the team's second-round series against the New York Rangers. Teravainen had an assist in the first period, but more importantly had a powerplay assist on Brady Skjei's game-winning goal late in the third period to give the Canes their first win of the series. Teravainen now has six points (two goals, four assists) in nine games this postseason and has been an integral part of Carolina's second line with Jordan Staal and Seth Jarvis.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

Carolina Hurricanes forward Teuvo Teravainen (upper body) missed a second straight game on Sunday versus the Montreal Canadiens. The veteran missed Saturday's contest versus the Toronto Maple Leafs due to an upper-body injury. "We're hoping (he is available at some point during the week)," Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind'Amour said on Saturday. We will see Tuesday, I don't think his [injury] is going to be long term." Teravainen's next chance to return to action will be on Tuesday when the club visits the New York Islanders. He has tallied 21 goals and 47 points on 124 shots across 66 games on the season.--Brenton Kemp
