Sean Sullivan Tosses First Complete Game Of The Season
6 months agoColorado Rockies starting pitching prospect Sean Sullivan logged his first complete game of the season but was charged with a hard-luck loss in a 1-0 loss. He allowed five hits, one earned run, one free pass and struck out seven. After logging just two innings with Single-A last summer, Sullivan has been with High-A all season and looked quite sharp. Across 49 ⅓ innings, the 2023 second-round selection has posted a 2.37 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, and 4:57 BB:K ratio. The 21-year-old had one blow-up start on May 17, where he allowed six runs, but never allowed more than 3 in any other outing this season. The Wake Forest product is projected to reach the majors in 2026 but could push for a 2025 debut, especially if he reaches Double-A later this summer.
