Sean Reynolds In A Walking Boot
36 seconds agoSan Diego Padres pitching prospect Sean Reynolds (foot) is in a walking boot. Reynolds sustained a stress reaction in his right foot. He is expected to remain in the boot for at least 10 more days before undergoing further evaluation. The former fourth-round selection made his MLB debut last summer. Across 11 innings, Reynolds held a stellar 0.82 ERA with a 1.36 WHIP. He tallied 21 punchouts. The right-hander also generated a strong .146 xBA and a 22.7 percent hard-hit rate, which were both well above the average marks. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, as he may not earn a spot on the Opening Day roster if he remains sidelined for a lengthy period during camp. Across 54 innings at Triple-A last summer, Reynolds posted a 6.17 ERA and a 1.69 WHIP. If he were to crack the Opening Day roster, he would likely earn a role in the bullpen.
