Sean Murphy Re-Enters Starting Lineup Tuesday
1 year agoAtlanta Braves catcher Sean Murphy will return to the starting lineup Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Angels and left-hander Patrick Sandoval. Murphy gave way to Travis d'Arnaud behind the plate for Monday's series opener with the Angels but will return on Tuesday after a brief hiatus, hitting fifth and catching Braves ace Spencer Strider. Of course, it's been a massive season for the 28-year-old who is hitting .278 with 17 home runs and a .909 OPS across 77 appearances on the season while providing elite defense behind the plate. However, Murphy has logged just four hits over his last 10 games spanning 44 trips to the plate as he looks to get straightened out Tuesday in Atlanta.
