Sean Durzi Tallies Three Assists Thursday Night
3 years agoLos Angeles Kings defenseman Sean Durzi collected three assists in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to Chicago. He got things started by helping Trevor Moore to a short-handed goal, bagged one assist on the power play, and then capped things off with an even-strength assist. It was a very busy night for the 23-year-old as he logged a team-high 27:06 of ice time and added three shots and two blocks to his tally with two penalty minutes and one hit. Durzi became the Kings rookie defenseman to have multiple three-point games in a season since Alexei Zhitnik in 1992-93. The Mississauga-born blue-liner has collected 22 points in total for the season in 48 games with 82 shots, 51 hits and 75 blocks. Durzi has started to carry a very heavy load since the Kings lost a number of skaters from the back to injury and he will play a big role during the team's playoff push.
