Sean Doolittle Playing Catch Friday
Sean Doolittle (foot) is wearing cleats and playing catch on Friday. Doolittle is on the disabled list with a pinched nerve in his foot but should be ready to rejoin the team for the start of the second half of the season. The southpaw has been one of the best closers in the game this year, sporting a 1.45 ERA, 0.54 WHIP and 11.8 K/9 to go along with 22 saves in 37 1/3 innings. Ryan Madson picked up a save Thursday, but Kelvin Herrera is still the best bet for saves until Doolittle returns.
