Sean Doolittle Moving Up To Triple-A
1 year agoWashington Nationals relief pitcher Sean Doolittle (elbow) has moved his minor-league rehab assignment from Double-A Harrisburg to Triple-A Rochester. The 36-year-old veteran southpaw is attempting to return from an internal-brace surgery on his left elbow, and so far he's allowed three runs on six hits while walking two and striking out 10 in seven relief innings for High-A Wilmington, Single-A Fredericksburg and Harrisburg. He last pitched in 2022 for the Nats but only pitched in 5 1/3 innings before being shut down with injury. Doolittle should eventually provide veteran depth in Washington's bullpen in the second half of the season, but he's unlikely to be much of a fantasy option at this stage of his career.
