Sean Couturier Out On Thursday
5 months agoPhiladelphia Flyers center Sean Couturier (lower body) will miss his first game of the season on Thursday versus Ottawa. The veteran is considered day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Couturier has averaged 0.5 points per game for the campaign, notching three goals and five assists in 16 appearances. His absence opens the door for Morgan Frost to re-enter the lineup. Meanwhile, Ryan Poehling might get some extra action. Returning from a three-game absence on Monday versus San Jose, Poehling showed good chemistry with Matvei Michkov on the third line and picked up an assist.

Sean Couturier Back For Battle Of Pennsylvania

Sean Couturier Available On Saturday
5 months agoPhiladelphia Flyers center Sean Couturier (lower body) will re-enter the lineup on Saturday against Buffalo. He missed Thursday's 5-4 overtime loss to Ottawa due to a lower-body injury, and the team initially considered him a game-time decision for Saturday. Couturier will take on his normal duties as the first-line center, which pushes Ryan Poehling back to the fourth line. Meanwhile, Morgan Frost will get the night off as a healthy scratch. Couturier is a bad fantasy option in current form, as he's landed on the score sheet just three times in 16 appearances this season.

Sean Couturier Out At Least The Next Two Games
1 year agoPhiladelphia Flyers center Sean Couturier will not be available to the team for at least the next two games due to an upper-body injury. The center remains day to day and did not travel with the team for a game against the Sabres on Friday and the Blue Jackets on Saturday. "Little nicked up now, hopefully we'll get him back here and get him going down the right road," Flyers bench boss John Tortorella said on Friday. Couturier was injured when he fell hard into the board during a 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders on Monday. The Flyers sit third in the Metropolitan Division but the Islanders, Capitals, and Penguins all sit within two points with the Capitals owning a game in hand.
