Sean Bouchard Full Healthy Entering Spring Training
3 days agoAccording to MLB.com, Colorado Rockies outfielder Sean Bouchard (hand) underwent surgery on his hamate bone in November but is fully healthy entering spring training. Bouchard did not miss time late in the season, but it is unknown if this injury affected his performance. Last season, Bouchard appeared in just 31 games for the Rockies and held an underwhelming .187/.290/.297 line with just one home run. He generated a .167 xBA and .281 xSLG. However, he did show a strong eye at the plate as he drew walks at an 11.1 percent rate. At Triple-A, the UCLA product held a strong .324/.418/.642 slash line with 12 doubles, 11 home runs, and five stolen bases. Fantasy managers should monitor Bouchard's progress during spring training as he could compete for a starting role in one of the corner outfield spots alongside Sam Hilliard, Jordan Beck, and Nolan Jones.
