Seamus Power rates out really well from a statistical standpoint, and he has finished in the top 30 in all three of his appearances at the Country Club of Jackson. The concern with Power comes from the direction that his ball-striking is trending in. In his last start, Power lost 1.5 strokes off the tee and 1.4 strokes on approach. Both the off-the-tee and approach got worse for the recent Barbasol Championship winner, and his ball-striking has definitively cooled since the run that he went on this summer that included a win and six consecutive top-20 finishes. Power still possesses upside and has a translatable game to the C.C. of Jackson, but we are worried he might be on the wrong side of a run.--Andy Lack
