Seahawks Request To Interview Ben Johnson
10 months agoThe Seattle Seahawks have requested to interview Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson for their vacant head-coaching position. Pete Carroll, Seattle's head coach since 2010, agreed to step down as the team's leader after 137 wins and two Super Bowl appearances -- opening the position. Johnson is seemingly the hottest name in this year's cycle after leading Detroit to the No. 3 total offense in 2023. The 37-year-old has drawn interest from several franchises, so there will be a competitive market for his services. Seattle has dynamic playmakers and young players with upside, including DK Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Kenneth Walker, and Zach Charbonnet, so the job could be appealing for an offensive-minded coach.
