Seahawks Pick Up Noah Fant’s Fifth-Year Option
3 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks have officially picked up Noah Fant's fifth-year option after acquiring him from Denver in the Russell Wilson trade during the offseason. He is the first player in the 2019 draft class to have his fifth-year option picked up and guarantees the tight end $6.85 million in 2022. Fant caught 68-of-90 targets for 670 yards and four touchdowns over 16 games for the Broncos in 2021. Dynasty managers should take note that Fant's performance in 2022 will likely dictate whether he remains a building block in Seattle's future or plays for his third team in as many seasons. He is still only 24 years old but is only likely to see his ceiling unlocked if there is a major change in his surroundings.
