6 years agoColorado Rockies pitcher Scott Oberg has been making progress in rehabbing from his strained lower back, and he threw a bullpen session and took fielding practice on Wednesday. Oberg is one of seemingly half a dozen relief pitchers the Rockies have placed on the disabled list, but he's one of the few who may actually be valuable to have return. Oberg has just a 4.08 ERA in 16 appearances this season, and in a bullpen that is one of the very worst in all of baseball, that's a studly number. No announcements have been made yet on an ETA, but expect the team to make sure he's fully recovered before bringing him back, as they may need to shoulder a lot of the load.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
