Scott Kingery Starting In Right For Home Opener
7 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies manager Gabe Kapler stated earlier this spring that prized rookie second baseman Scott Kingery would play all around the field for the club this season. On Thursday, as the team gets set for their first home game of the year, that announcement continues to be validated, as the 23-year-old will start in right field and bat third against the Miami Marlins. Kingery has been one of the club’s best hitters so far, hitting .286 through four games. This year, he’s played shortstop, third base and now right field, but he could possibly see time at other positions, raising his chances of becoming a utility fantasy player.
