7 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies infielder/outfielder Scott Kingery (rest) is out of the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Miami Marlins. Asdrubal Cabrera will play shortstop and bat fifth against righty Pablo Lopez. Kingery was expected to lose some playing time with the addition of Cabrera. Fantasy owners in 12 or 14 team leagues that own Kingery may want to consider dropping him depending on if his playing time continues to decrease. Cabrera is worth a look in DFS contests on Thursday.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

4 months agoThe Philadelphia Phillies have traded infielder Scott Kingery to the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for cash considerations according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com. The 30-year-old has not appeared in a major league game since 2022 and has spent the past two seasons playing with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Last season in the top level of the minor leagues, the former second-round pick held a .268/.314/.488 line with 17 doubles, 25 home runs, 67 RBI, and 25 stolen bases. Kingery will likely compete for a spot on the Opening Day Roster in Los Angeles but will more than likely spend most of the 2025 season in the minor leagues.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
