2 years agoKansas City Royals relief pitcher Scott Barlow has been a fairly effective option in the ninth inning this season. On Thursday, Barlow was handed the ball in the ninth inning with a three-run lead over the Chicago White Sox. The right-hander gave up a solo home run to Andrew Vaughn, but looked solid outside of that. The 29-year-old has 18 saves on the season with a 2.32 ERA through 54.3 innings of work in Kansas City.
