Scott Alexander Earns Third Save Of Season Sunday
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Scott Alexander picked up his third save of the season in Sunday's 9-6 game against the Rockies. Alexander pitched a clean ninth inning, going 1-2-3 with no strikeouts. Closer Kenley Jansen (irregular heartbeat) did not make the trip to Colorado, so Alexander was merely acting as a placeholder. Should Jansen be unavailable for a longer period of time, it seems that Alexander, Kenta Maeda, and Ryan Madson could all be in the mix for save opportunities. Fantasy players should avoid speculating on this potential situation this late in the season if they can help it, so Alexander is not worth owning at this time.
