Scott Alexander Earns First Save Of Season Friday
6 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Scott Alexander picked up his first save of the season in Friday's 3-2 game against the Angels. He came on to start the ninth and worked around two hits, allowing no runs with no strikeouts. Kenley Jansen was merely getting the night off, so Alexander should not see many more save opportunities. However, he does have 12 holds to go with a 3.40 ERA in 42 1/3 IP. The holds and ERA are nice, but Alexander's 7.23 K/9 rate and 4.04 BB/9 rate limit his value in holds leagues, the only type of league in which he holds any value.
