Satoshi Kodaira Enters the Byron Nelson as the Sixth Highest Ranked Golfer in the Field
7 years agoSatoshi Kodaira shot a three-over par at the Players Championship last weekend, missing the cut by four strokes. Kodaira will take his game to the AT&T Byron Nelson this week. Kodaira, who is the 29th-ranked player in the world, comes into the tournament as the sixth highest ranked player in the field. The best way to describe Kodaira's PGA Tour career so far would be as enigmatic. His win at the RBC Heritage last month came out of nowhere, and his best career finish on tour before that was a T28 at this year's Masters. Despite the uncertainty that Kodaira brings weekly, he makes for an intriguing GPP flier in a weak field. He is projected to be under five percent owned, and that alone makes him worth a look. He isn't someone we are in love with statistically, but his high ranking and low ownership projection have us taking a second look.
