Saquon Barkley Seeking Second Opinion
5 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is seeking a second opinion on his high ankle sprain with Dr. Robert Anderson on Wednesday, according to a source informed of the situation. Barkley is expected to be out four to six weeks after suffering the injury in the Week 3 win over the Buccaneers. Losing the reigning Offensive Rookie Of the Year is tough for both the Giants and fantasy owners. Wayne Gallman should step into the lead role behind rookie quarterback Daniel Jones. The Giants offense moved the ball much more effectively under Jones, but they'll likely struggle to be consistent without Barkley on the field. Gallman will be a top waiver pickup this week, especially for Barkley owners, but he'll be nothing more than an RB3/flex in Week 4 against Washington.
