2 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley is currently not close to signing an extension with the organization. During the midway point of last season, Barkley turned down an extension that would've paid roughly $12 million per year. The star back is reportedly seeking a deal that pays closer to $16 million, which is what Christian McCaffrey received from the Carolina Panthers in 2020. Possibly, the two sides can meet in the middle somewhere at $14 million per season. It seems unlikely that the two are going to work out a deal before free agency begins.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
