Saquon Barkley Named Offensive Rookie Of The Year
6 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley was named the 2018 Rookie of the Year on Saturday. The second overall pick rushed for 1,307 yards (second in the NFL) and 11 touchdowns on 261 carries and also caught 91 passes (tying Odell Beckham Jr. for most for a Giants rookie) for another 721 yards and four scores. He finished with the most scrimmage yards (2,028) in the league in his first season and his 352 touches were second most in the NFL. Barkley's scrimmage yards were the third most from a rookie in league history and his 91 receptions were the most of any rookie running back. The sky is the limit for Barkley moving forward, and he'll certainly be in play as a high-end RB1 in the first round of fantasy drafts going into his second season.
