Saquon Barkley Almost “Fully Cleared”, Gearing Up For Week 1
3 years agoNew York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (knee) is close to being fully cleared and is gearing up to play in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos. The Giants will monitor the star running back through Thursday and see how his body responds to the workload. If Barkley does suit up in Week 1, he will be in the starting lineup but won't have a full workload. Devontae Booker should see some additional looks in Week 1. The 24-year-old has made tremendous progress this offseason in his recovery from knee surgery. Barkley is expected to be all systems for Week 1, but fantasy managers should temper expectations as he receives a limited workload to start the year. Barkley is a surefire RB1, and managers can select him in the late first round with confidence in upcoming fantasy drafts.
