1 year agoMemphis Grizzlies forward Santi Aldama (ankle) won't play in Wednesday's matchup with the Pelicans. He's battling a right ankle sprain. Fortunately, it's "considered mild," so he has a chance to return sooner rather than later. The 22-year-old had a productive season in 2022-23, averaging 9.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. Memphis needs him back as soon as possible, considering Steven Adams (knee) will miss the 2023-24 campaign, while Brandon Clarke (Achilles) is still months away from returning. That said, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Xavier Tillman Sr. remain the team's starting big men.
