Sandy Alcantara Will Start on Friday
6 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara has been called up to start in Friday's game against the New York Mets, according to Marlins's CEO Derek Jeter. He's pitched well in Triple-A this season, posting a 3.71 ERA over 85 innings with the Baby Cakes. He was the top prospect acquired from the Cardinals in the trade of Marcell Ozuna. Alcantara doesn't miss many bats and continues to struggle with his command. He's only worth a look in NL-only leagues and dynasty formats for now. Most fantasy owners will want to stay away from him, even against a mediocre Mets offense.
