3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara was outstanding in a start against the New York Mets on Wednesday. The Marlins ace pitched nine innings, allowing just one run (a solo homer) on four hits and a walk while striking out 14. The Marlins ultimately won the game in the 10th inning, but Alcantara had to settle for a tough no decision. He's not quite there yet, but Sandy is on his way to deGrom territory, where he almost always pitches well enough to win, but the offense runs dry whenever he's on the mound.
