Sandy Alcantara Strikes Out A Dozen In Saturday's Win
3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara dazzled in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Cincinnati Reds. The Marlins ace pitched seven innings, allowing one run on six hits and a walk while striking out 12. Alcantara has been missing a lot more bats lately, and has really bounced back well from his atrocious outing against the Rockies. On August 6, Alcantara gave up 10 runs in just 3 2/3 innings. Since then though, he's pitched 29 innings and struck out 37 batters. He's on an excellent hot streak and needs to be started in all formats every time he's on the mound.
