Sandy Alcantara Plays Catch Wednesday
1 year agoMiami Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara (forearm) was able to play catch on Wednesday. Alcantara landed on the injured list with a right-forearm flexor strain earlier this month, and it remains to be seen if he'll have time to rejoin Miami's starting rotation before the end of the regular season as they chase the final wild-card spot in the National League. Fantasy managers should keep him stashed in all formats, but even if he does return, he might only be able to make one start for the Fish. The 28-year-old NL Cy Young winner in 2022 has gone 7-12 this year with a 4.14 ERA (4.03 FIP), 1.21 WHIP, 48 walks and 151 strikeouts in 184 2/3 innings over his 28 starts.
