Sandy Alcantara Looking to Make Starting Rotation in Miami
Sandy Alcantara has been impressive this spring, so much so that he could land a spot in the starting rotation by the time the regular season starts, according to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro. Alcantara, who came to Miami in the deal that sent Marcell Ozuna to the St. Louis Cardinals last year, threw 3.2 scoreless innings against the Mets on Tuesday. In 7.2 innings pitched thus far, the young fireballer has a 2.35 ERA with nine strikeouts.
