Sandy Alcantara Has Had Mixed Results In 2018
6 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara gave up five runs in his most recent start last Saturday. Alcantara was one of the main pieces brought back in the offseason deal for outfielder Marcell Ozuna. Alcantara for the year has a 3.88 ERA and is 4-2 in 12 starts. Alcantara has increased his velocity over the past two seasons and has a fastball that can touch triple digits. His biggest flaw is that he has games where the command is not there and he loses control. The Marlins are in a rebuilding year and have no reason to rush Alcantara to the big leagues. Alcantara offers enough upside to be owned in dynasty leagues and is a top-100 prospect.
