Aaron Sanchez Not Worried About Drop in Velocity
7 years agoToronto Blue Jays starter Aaron Sanchez said that he's not worried about his decline in velocity after Thursday's loss against the Yankees. His two-seamer averaged only 92.8 mph on Thursday versus an average of 93.8 mph at this point last season and 95.4 two seasons ago. He still managed to turn in a quality start, going six innings while giving up three runs, seven hits, two walks and striking out two and has a respectable 3.86 ERA on the season. Nonetheless, Sanchez is confident he'll regain some heat, as he's only had four starts, so feel free to deploy Sanchez as normal until his performance proves otherwise.
