San Francisco 49ers D/ST Falls Out Of Top-10
1 year agoThe San Francisco 49ers D/ST will take on a rested Cincinnati Bengals offense on Sunday in Santa Clara. The 49ers have been consistently ranked in the top five up to this point in 2023 but have shown some cracks as of late. San Francisco brass has put together a defense predicated on getting to the quarterback, figuring it could get away with fielding a relatively undertalented secondary. The main problem is that its expensive pass rush hasn't been getting to the quarterback. While they lead the NFL in interceptions at 11, they are middle-of-the-pack in sacks at 15 and had zero in a loss to Minnesota last week. The talented Bengals' offense has underperformed, but All-Pro quarterback Joe Burrow says he's 100% healed from his calf injury and they've had two weeks to prepare for the 49ers. San Francisco's D/ST is worth a start this week in most leagues but they need a good showing to climb back up in the fantasy rankings.
